Review Alcatel OT332

Alcatel decided to follow the steps of other phone producers and presented two models at once. First one is a low-end phone OT331, and second one is our tonight's star of the show - Alcatel OT 332. At first glance the only difference between these two phones is the display. But there are few slight software differences as well. This review is similar to 331's, but there are few changes as well. Review Philips 535

Many Philips fans reacted with the release of the Philips 530, because of its unusual design. The only flaw the phone had was a lack of an external camera, which of course was not included in the standard package. Philips realized the fact that the phone should have a camera installed right from the start and that's why THIS model appeared. The Philips 535 doesn't have any differences from its big brother except for the built-in camera. The casing has remained unchanged, but with the camera lens and a little mirror located on the back. Typically for Philips there will be about six different panel colors available, some of them quite appealing.

Review Philips 530

Philips 530 is targeted for youth. Philips supposes that this market will be developing the most during next year. Several new features are included in this phone, like MMS. Unlike Fisio 820/825 this model has IrDA. Let's try to review the potential, which Philips put into this model.

Review Philips 350

It's been a short amount of time since Philips presented the 530 model, and now we are already reviewing the middle-class phone - Philips 350. Most of our readers would probably think about Motorola C350 while they are reading the model's title, and that's not just a innocent coincidence. Philips presents new model in the same segment, where Motorola was presenting it's C350 earlier on. This means that the new model is targeted for middle-class phones with very big emphasize on teenagers. This model is based on Philips 530, this is almost the same phone with FM-radio and some additional features removed. Once again Philips decided to show us their views on modern design, 530 looks rather unusual and singles out from other phones extremely well.

Review Orange SPV e100 or HTC i-Mate

The Orange SPV (HTC Tanager/Qtec 7070) has appeared on the market by the end of 2002, but we received it just now. This device causes interest even today, especially if to take into account the fact that this is the first smartphone running MS Smartphone 2002. This device can be considered reference or standard, as all other devices are based on this one. However, very often, such devices are very similar to each other by functionality, the differences consist in design and additional software. The hardware stuffing is similar and the software used is identical, hence analogous features.

Review Sagem myC-2

Sagem tries extending its model range at the expense of one model but using different form-factors. For example, myC-2 is a clone of the low-end myX-2. Except for the form factor all the features are identical.

Review Samsung X600

Samsung made a version of the X100, added an integrated camera and named it X600. The phone accentuates itself not only by the camera, but also by its camera flash. To be honest it’s a kind of backlight which can also be used as a torch, which along with the camera are the main differences from the X100. We can also mention a small external aerial. It was impossible to make it internal because of the integrated camera. To open the camera you rotate it manually to open it. You can take pictures of the surroundings or yourself, it handles both. We’ll describe the camera functions later, now let’s talk about the design

Review Sagem myX-2

Sagem made an unexpected move having presented low-end device X2 equipped with color screen, while X3 has no color screen. It is explained by that the X2 is a subsequent solution; per se, X2 is a low-end device of new generation. On the one hand, it is more interesting than the existing models, but on the other hand, it is an intermediate solution between them and between such device as SonyEricsson T230 and Siemens A60.

Review LG G5500

With every new model LG continues experiments with design, thus LG G5500 utilizes slider idea. Such devices are popular in Korea, but are practically unknown in Europe. The same opening design have some latest European models: Nokia 7650 and Siemens SL55. Such models are worth appearing in the near future, as they become interesting fashion solution. Against the background of adaptation to clamshells and their waste of fashion constituent, the choice of slider phone is evident for fashion consumers.

Review bluetooth-headset Sony Ericsson HBH-200

HBH-200 is intended for business consumers, it is analogous to HBH-20 and has almost the same number. The surplus zero in the number emphasizes the newness of the given model, its superiority over the old one. HBH-200 has the same construction as HBH-20 has

Review Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Car

Sony Ericsson has started producing cars, even racing bolides not usual cars. But the dimensions of these cars are not much larger than a matchbox. It’s easy to put such a car in the pocket. This accessory was named as a Bluetooth Car. It’s clear that the car is controlled with a help of bluetooth phone.

Russian market of mobile terminals in the 3Q 2003

Market growth in the third quarter was obvious. Trends were set in the last months of the second quarter, but the growth rate was really unexpected. According to several estimations the market should have grown by 20 - 30 %, but in reality the rate was higher. Reasons of this rapid growth are the following: larger demand for the phones in retail chains, record level of sales, regional players activity and lesser “grey” market volume.

Reveiw bluetooth headset Sony Ericsson HBM-30

SonyEricsson has recommended itself as pioneer in bluetooth long time ago. Now, having released HBM-30 the company confirmed that status once more. For the first time the headset is also mp3 player. The device represents not a big block, which is similar to usual mp3 players.

Review bluetooh headset Plantronics M3000

Plantronics organized the announcement of M3000 with pomp, it has taken place at CeBIT. Following all the rules, it has been said about revolutionary product for mobile phones, and the new headset was presented later. For promoting the product, company has staked on the operating time from one charge. So, according to the manufacturer the headset provides up to 200 standby hours and up to 8 hours of talk time. Such parameters look record, especially against a background of the previous model – Plantronics M100, which operated during one day. In many cases M1000 operated less time, it was demanding on the phone, used with it.

Motorola v300. First impressions

Motorola has decided to offer several devices constructed on the same platform at the same time. V300 is the junior model and has no several features of superior models (no bluetooth): v500, v600. The main target group for this device is young people, hence rounded shape of the case and curious edging round the screen. Generally, Motorola V300 is the first camera phone of the company.

Review Nokia 6108

On Asian market, Nokia often offers the models, which differ from such ones for Europe. It would seem Nokia 6108 should look like other 6000 series models, but it differs from them radically. It’s the first GSM phone (not smartphone) with handwriting input.

Review BenQ M560G

This device is a test sample and it won’t appear on the market in the near future. I used this device only for couple of days, so, the review won’t be very detailed.

Review Motorola A920

The A920 has a special design. That’s for sure the least you can say. A920 isn’t exactly a little phone that you don’t notice. To be honest, it is huge. And it has an external antenna. Still it feels nice to hold in your hand perhaps due to the fact that it is very solid and heavy, and it is very well built. No squeaking or loose pieces.
